THE JIHAD AGAINST HUCKABEE

Ever since Gov. Mike Huckabee’s numbers started climbing in the polls, the media and the Republican establishment have gone all-out to disparage him and derail his campaign. Surprisingly, the Conservative media led by Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Hugh Hewitt, Hannity, Dennis Prager and scores of others has spearheaded the jihad against Huckabee, condemning him as a “pro-life liberal” and a “false conservative” Thanks to their ceaseless anti-Huck campaign, the establishment has successfully brainwashed thousands, if not millions of viewers and listeners….so far (there are still 44 states left). These self-proclaimed torchbearers of Conservatism NEED TO REALISE that they are out of touch with reality, and the base. The SC primary results are a testimony to this. The exit poll data show that voters chose Huckabee over McCain in several categories OUTSIDE OF EVANGELICAL VOTE. Huck took the 18-44 yrs old vote, abortion (keep it illegal always) vote, the tough-on-illegal immigration vote, the republican vote, the conservative vote and the very conservative vote. The real Conservative base has not been fooled! The rest (pseudo-conservatives) have been. Birds of the same feather folk together…and there is no need for the establishment and the media to define and redefine “conservatism” and declare who the true conservative is! The Conservative media shouldn’t live under the illusion that the public is unaware of the link between Romney and Bain Capital and it is obvious that the support of a good chunk of the media would be biased and in favor of Mitt Romney. Also, the fact that the establishment led by the “Club of Greed” is rallying around Thompson, Romney and Giuliani, and giving a second look to McCain is no news to the true Conservatives.

It is painful to see that the only Republican candidate with a chance to defeat the Clinton machinery is being betrayed by the very party that ought to have embraced him. Being elected and re-elected in an overwhelmingly Democrat state run by the Clinton machinery is no joke. Huckabee’s conservatism is similar to Reagan’s- even Reagan raised taxes when circumstances compelled him to do so. The fact that the rank of Arkansas school-education quality went up from near bottom (49th) to the top ten list (rank 8th) during the course of his tenure is just an example of the countless transformations that Huckabee brought about in Arkansas, leaving behind the legend of the visionary and the commander that Huckabee is. Giuliani and Romney will definitely not win the general election (count on the crucial but sizeable chunk of evangelical voters who will prefer to sit home rather than vote for them), and Thompson has slept too much to be a serious contender in the race. McCain, despite all the euphoria of late, cannot win- the very-conservative and the social conservative voters abstaining from voting for him will cross out whatever independent votes he will be getting. Logically, that leaves Huckabee as the only viable candidate, the sole candidate who will be able to bring out everyone of the foot soldiers of the Republican Party (particularly the social conservatives) to vote on the Election Day.

Huckabee represents the new-face of the Conservative movement. This is attested to by the fact that in both Iowa and SC, Huckabee won more than 40% of the young vote. For many youngsters, Huckabee is the only reason for not voting in the Democrat primary this election cycle. It is a national trend that an increasing disproportionate share of the youngsters is voting Democrat- a trend, if not checked, that would have serious repercussions for the Republican Party in the future. Even Conservative youngsters find the Democrats more appealing as they hold common views when it comes to issues like Global poverty, racial reconciliation and the environment. The excitement that has been generated amongst the GOP youngsters this time should be credited mainly to Huckabee. The refusal of the establishment and the media to acknowledge the shift in the priorities of the X and Y GOP generation is suicidal to both the GOP and Conservatism in the long run. History will judge and will be very harsh on all those (particularly Limbaugh & Co and the Club of Greed) who have condemned the efforts of visionaries (like Huckabee) to bridge the gap between older conservatives on the one hand and the younger conservatives on the other. Another dynamic shift in the electoral mood of the country has been the growing disillusionment of the middle class and the already antagonized working class with the GOP. Huckabee is the only GOP candidate who has gained support from them as is evident from the support of various unions towards his candidacy. Besides, Huckabee is the only GOP candidate to have gained support from Afro-Americans as in evident from the more than thirty endorsements including that of Rev. Bill Owens (leader of the Coalition of African American Pastors).

The President has to be the commander-of-chief of the entire nation. The fact that Huckabee has mass appeal cutting across race, ethnicity and classes is testimonial to his popularity, electability and the genuineness of his personality. The Wall Street and the establishment have come up with their own definition of “a true conservative”, and are imposing it on the masses. Sorry, I am not deceived! And neither will my fellow countrymen be. A person may be fooled initially, but not for long. Another Huckaboom is in the offing! Remember that Huckabee’s support is grassroot. He's been almost broke from the beginning, thanks to the war waged on him by the establishment with the media playing the role of the latter's cheer leaders. But he has been able to endure this far due to the support of the common man. The presidential race is like a marathon. Huckabee might have won and lost some early battles, but this has only inspired the people from the main street to work harder towards electing a man of their own so that Washington no longer remains the exclusive hub of the Wall Street.

The war ain't over, 'til it's over. On to Florida!

Great post. Rush and the gang at NRO have really let me down with their Huckabee bashing and underhanded insults toward Christians in general. I guess Rush is just a closet Rockefeller Republican (wants the economic advantages of conservatism but wants to keep the icky social issues out in the cold). Huck is far more conservative than Romney, McCain, Guiliani, or any other viable GOP candidate. Plus he has more experience as a government executive than any of them (10 years as a governor!). When Huck wins Christian votes it's diabolical "identity politics" to the Wall St. guys; but when Mormons vote for Romney (Nevada) it's not "identity politics." Go figure. But don't despair. Huck will be either the VP or he'll be back in 2012 or 2016.

Huckabee should be ashamed for raising the cross of Christ for his own gain.

He has benefitted from nasty push-polling and does not answer questions about his record honestly. His problem with me is his inherent dishonesty.

I don't have an honesty problem with someone who wants to raise taxes and increase government to improve schools, roads, etc.

My problem with Huckabee is that he does not stand strong on his record or for his beliefs.

Here are some examples. He gave about 4 different answers when asked about his comment that the Bush administration has an "arrogant bunker mentality," recently (though perhaps not finally) settling on the lie that he meant that we did not go into Iraq with enough troops. If you read the article in 'Foreign Affairs,' you will see that he meant no such thing.

Also, when repeatedly asked whether he raised taxes by $500 million, he answers with "I cut taxes 94 times." To any thoughtful and informed voter, this is not an answer.

He did not respond to a single point in Fred Thompson's substantive critique in the S.C. debate. Instead, he complained that Thompson was in a bad mood or constipated. This is not a substantive answer.

In short, Huckabee can speak the religious language of Evangelicals and thereby get some of them to vote for him.

He is not a thoughtful, substantive candidate and replaces substance with jokes and giggles.

Fred Thompson and John McCain are unwaveringly pro-life for those who are single issue voters and who don't trust Mitt Romney's recent conversion. In areas such as honesty, foreign policy, and experience they are far better candidates than Mike Huckabee.

Your analysis is probably correct. Huckabee is the only candidate who can defeat the democrats. The republican media is losing touch of the base. I used to watch Fox news exclusively, now I have switched to CNN and even watch Morning Joe in MSNBC. I no longer watch Hannity anymore. I see him as too partisan. I still watch O'Reilly, but his campaign on media corruption seems hollow. If it continues, the future of the Republican party will loose its relevance.

Well stated. I was just talking with my wife about how I don't know who is second best with all the horrible "conservatives" to choose from. How can I be a "value voter" and not support Huckabee?

Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and the rest, are idiots. I swear, the next thing I'll probably hear from the Republican Party is that they've resuscitated Ronald Regan. Besides, if the audience of these people are so weak minded, they deserve Rudy and all his scare tactics. I’d vote for the Huck in the primary if I was Republican.

I am not sure if Huckabee is your guy, however it is a misleading to claim that Huckabee went through the ringer. The fact is that every single leader went through the same ringer, McCain, Rudy, Romney, and Huckabee. It isn't so much that folks hated Huckabee, but I believe the forces behind Fred Thompson went on a scorched earth policy to destroy every opponent of his and of course it failed.

I disagree that Huckabee cuts across anything. So far he has proven that his only appeal is to Christian Conservatives, not to a mass appeal. I think that Huckabee has done a herculean job of creating a run out of nothing, but it is misleading to mistake Huckabee for someone that appeals to a cross section of the country.

Like I said, Huckabee has gone through the same ringer as every other leader. here is how I wrote about it...

Your article is right on. Huckabee gets hurt because some people don't go to the source for information but rather to Rush and company. If they would listen to Huckabee directory they would get a different view.

Huckabee is a true conservative - pro USA, pro veteran, pro family, pro state rights, pro more $ in peoples pockets. He is a great visionary with great ideas. He "gets" it. Other candidates do not.

If he does not get the nomination it will only be because he is ahead of his time.

niThe fact of the matter is that Romney and Giuliani are the two most conservatives running for office. Huckabee is trying to redefine conservatism as a religious socialism, he is essentially a democrat on every issue excluding faith. As for McCain, he is a war veteran that calls himself Republican purely because of that fact. He is not a Republican. Rudy aligns with conservatism most on every single issue except abortion. He has the strongest record. In RCP poll averages....HUCKABEE HAS THE LOWEST CHANCE OF BEATING THE DEMOCRATS, and, he would lose by an overwhelming margin. He does not get any vote outside of evangelicals and it would be a disastrous race for the republicans if he is nominated. He has no clue about foreign policy, he has a horrible tax cutting record, and like the other guy said, he needs to go through the ringer like the other politicians have. For God sakes, Rudy has been through every single critic and still has managed to stay afloat. It says bounds about his potential. If you want to vote on record, change, economy and leadership, you vote Rudy Giuliani. If you want religious revival, defeat in Nov., a polarizing president, and a virtual economic and diplomacy disaster, vote huckabee. He has no clue about what matters most in this election. On taxes, economy, war, immigration, he fails horribly. He backs his statements with nothing, at least Rudy backs his statements with facts, plans and a RECORD of getting the same things done in the past. Wake the heck up. I would vote for Hillary Clinton before Huckabee- she is more conservative. He is a step backward for the party.

I said a few weeks ago that Mike Huckabee's appeal to younger voters, Reagan Democrats, and others disillusioned by the political process was significant. I suspect that Republican power brokers like Rush Limbaugh, the R.N.C, the Club for Growth, and others see this and it makes them cringe.

The truth is, the values voter and the Reagan Democrats haven't changed. The Party has shifted against them.

I can't say what the outcome of the primaries will be, but the Republican Party power brokers had better wake up to the fact that if they abandon the Reagan base, it will no longer be an effective instrument.

With Thompson out, Huckabee is the only bona-fide social conservative choice.

Huck is no more of a "Christian Socialist" than Bush 43. However, totally unlike George W. Foot-in-mouth, Huck is the most articulate spokesperson for true Reagan-style conservative values THAT IS WILLING TO STAND FOR ELECTION since . . . well . . . Reagan himself!

Huck is flawed in the eyes of some "movement conservatives" because he obeyed court decisions and spent money with taxpayer consent on the sorts of things that state governments MUST fund in a federalist system (Education, roads, wildlife managment, etc.) and repeatedly balanced budgets in the face of national and regional recession.

Others claim Huck is too given to untested, radical ideas on taxes (signed the "no new taxes" pledge, advocates the controversial "Fair Tax") and immigration.

And some charge Huck believes a little too strongly in second chances. And there's that "wedding registry" blind spot that's a hold-over from his ministerial days.

HOWEVER, Huck is the only GOP candidate that with the ability to connect with the struggling middle class (where the majority of the votes are).

And Huck is the only GOP candidate who has the rhetorical chops to stay in the game with Obama (should "Obambi" snatch the mule nomination from the tight grasp of the Clintonistas).

Sure, given Huck's shoestring finances, it will take a measure of divine providence, but he's the only choice left for social conservatives.

"In RCP poll averages....HUCKABEE HAS THE LOWEST CHANCE OF BEATING THE DEMOCRATS"

THIS IS A Romney-ian lie!

Currently Huck is running only 6.5 points behind Hillary (even with the talk radio Jihad against him)

In comparsion, Rudy is 8.7 points behind Hillary and Megabux Mitt is a whopping TWELVE POINTS behind Ms. Clinton!

Poll after poll has shown that as many as 20% of Republicans will NEVER VOTE FOR ROMNEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

If Huck had a fraction of Romney's warchest, this thing would probably be over by now.

Of course, David only had five small stones and a slingshot . . . Gideon only had 300 weary men . . . .

"Huck is far more conservative than Romney, McCain, Guiliani, or any other viable GOP candidate. Plus he has more experience as a government executive than any of them (10 years as a governor!)."

This is rediculous. Rudy Giuliani was mayor of a city with 8 times the population of arkasas and he served in the reagan justice department. Huckabee may have been in executive office longer, but he failed to produce conservative results as governor. Rudy has the most successful tax-cutting and economics record of any candidate running, the strongest foreign policy stance, and the ability to lead in crisis. If you want conservative change with leadership you can believe in, Huck is not your man. Hickabee is only conservative on social issues. Nothing else. Huckabee has received plenty of free media, its time the critics chime in, as they have done on every other candidate. He has a hand-to-mouth campaign that cannot afford to fly staffers to florida. Whilst Rudy still has money to spend 1 million/week on ads, 15 staffers in florida, make 150 thousand phone calls per week, and fly 300 students down to florida to campaign for him and stay in hotels. Rudy still has money pouring into his campaign, Huckabee hasnt a dime. It speaks bounds of his followers and their reserved faith in his ability. Back to my point, just as every other candidate, huck needs his fair share of criticism dished to him. Rudy stood the heat for his entire campaign, if Hucks campaign cant stand it for one month then theres weakness.

First of all, Huckabee has no appeal to young voters or independents and its a far stretch he will get any votes from the dems.

Remember Iowa? Huckabee got less than 10 percent of the vote outside of evangelicals who made up 80 percent of the population. He has no change in the general. The reason Huckabee is anywhere near Clinton is because he hasnt had enough time in the spotlight to show what he really is. A religious socialist (democrat). I rest my case.

and also, fact of the matter is, the republican party is trying to rebrand itself. If it is going to survive the next generation, it needs to disconnect from the polarizing "party for the rich, the religious" stereotype that dems, the media, and on the religious part-huckabee portray.

One of the most pressing issues, The war on Terror, he has no experience. When asked about benazir Bhutto on cnn, he basically mumbled then changed the question. Hillary and Obama have responses ten times better than Huckabee, at least they have a clear stance on the issue and some knowledge and rhetoric on the subject.

Huckabee isn’t here to set up God’s kingdom here on earth. But he believes that goverment was ordained to be the keeper of justice. As a citizen of the greatest country on God’s green earth, we the people are called to be the voice and protector of the unborn, the poor, and the exploited. He believes in an America where everyone has a chance to live the American dream. But in the real world the fact is there are those that don’t make it. God didn’t make everyone with a high IQ and didn’t make us all perfect. Some of us have defects and for whatever reasons will not reach the top. They are trying to mislead you when labeling him a populist or a big spending democrat rather than a true gentleman with a consience.

Huckabee believes in smaller government and knows that government is the problem and not the solution. Some people are trying to misrepresent him by saying he will make government a huge mega church. He does not subscribe to that movement. He believes in personal responsibility.

The latest lies coming out of the pundits and his competitors is that Huckabee can not bring the party together to beat Hillary or Obama. Those same people have held the presidency and congress for ages. Yet, where is that small government they promote so dearly? They had countless chances to keep their pledge to end the injustices and to promote an America where people can trust in her again. It’s time for a change! The government is a mirror of the people. Let the change in goverment begin at home and standing up and saying Enough is Enough! You want Social Security fixed. Now! You want them to stop stealing from your paycheck. Now! You want them to stop killing the babies. Now!

Mike Huckabee deflects all charges aimed at him, does not answer them. Huckabee is not against immigration. Huckabee raised taxes immensely. (Does not refute this charge.) Regardless of this article, he has shown little support outside Evangelical sources. The accusations against Rush Limbaugh given here are incorrect. Rush has NEVER bashed Christianity, NEVER. In fact, Rush doesn't 'bash' people, unless pointing out inconsistencies and real records is 'bashing'. Perhaps Huckabee is more conservative than McCain, McCain is a RINO. Money seems to be a problem, and he may have given up on Florida, as he is now campaigning in Georgia. I don't believe he has the support to elevate him to the 'nominee position.

I was in SC with Mike Huckabee...I drove 279 miles one way and paid my own way to support him. What I saw and heard was what I expected, a great man of hope and bold leadership who has compassion for the plight of the common man and wants to protect our Judeo-Christian values like marriage and the sanctity of life. He is hated by the country club elite in the GOP who put money before faith. Huckabee puts the sanctity of life and marriage before greed. Reagan was a social conservative too. Two words why I can not vote for the senator from Arizona: McCain-Finegold. He doesn't even respect my fist amendment right to free political speech. Send Huckabee money. He can win if we support him. Now is the time to take a stand and fight for our candidate and tell others too.

eally, Huck? You think he can beat anyone, let alone the Clinton machine? He is the worst possible choice for a Republican victory in '08 . . . if you can really call him a Republican! Read Ann Coulter's article, "The Elephant in the Room" . . . she assesses the media bias intelligently. The only media bias I see is against Romney. They either hate him or are scared of him, or probably both. The media loves McCain and Huckleberry. They know McCain is not conservative, which they like, and they know that Huck would be slaughtered in the race by any of the Democratic candidates . . . Huck, really? I'm terribly disappointed in the conservative pundits who went on a jihad against Huck. The reason I'm disappointed is because I usually agree with them on so much! I like to listen to Hannity, Rush, et al.... They're usually spot-on! While I understand that Huck's got a speck in his eye/record, there's huge logs/planks in the eyes/records of his GOP opponents!

Make the playing field fair. Right now it's tilted against Huck unfairly and that ain't right.

I am a registered Democrat and will vote for Clinton in the primary with hopes to keep Obama out of the running. But I don’t feel good about Clinton either, especially on the issue of Immigration Reform which should favor legitimate Americans who have worked and invested in this country, over illegal’s who view America as a resource. In the National Election I would vote for Huckabee over Clinton simply because of his recent commitment on this issue.

I sense some new life in Huck's campaign, especially since Hangdog Thompson slinked away. I think I'll send some money his way myself: just to tick off the country club elite. These same establishment Republicans said the same stuff about Reagan in '76 and '80 (no foreign policy experience, raised taxes, not educated at Harvard or Yale, etc.) Now they act like Reagan was their homeboy. All I can say is this. I am a tried and true conservative and voted that way my whole life for these reasons:
1. I believe that this country must maintain its moral compass or it is over in just a matter of time.
2. I believe that power should rest as close to the people as possible. Trust must be placed highest in the people not the government. The government is a servant of the people not the master of them.
3. I believe capitalistic solutions to economic issues are always the best way to go.
4. I believe our national sovereignty as a nation should never be comprised on foreign policy issues.
5. I believe judges should interpret the law not make law.

These are the reasons I consider my self a tried and true conservative. This being said, I will not under any circumstances vote for Rudy Guliani or Mitt Romney. I respect Rudy more of the two because at least he does not lie about what he really believes. I would have to think about it, but I might consider voting for McCain. If Huckabee were the nominee I would not only vote for him but work tirelessly for him to get elected. The rest of you can say what you want about conservatism but I would really suggest you check out Mitt Romney's real record of raising taxes (he calls them fee's), managing a state government in the red, supporting abortion and gay rights, and the list of his liberal leaning just go on and on. There is no wonder he was elected as Governor in a state that sends Ted Kennedy to the Senate every six years. Huckabee not only wants to appoint strict constructionist judges but he wants legal backing more vigorously protecting the life of innocent people. He doesn't want to just tweak a tax system that punishes productivity he wants to abolish it with a better system of taxes our founding fathers supported. He not only wants to fight the war on islamic extremist he wants to build our military up to do so and not depend on reservist and guardsman being away form their families on a constant basis. He's the only one who has a real plan that can work to get us energy independent as a nation. I suggest you check out where he stands on the issues by checking out his website www.mikehuckabee.com before marginalizing the man as some extreme religious fanatic because that is the furtherest from the truth. As a orthodox Roman Catholic I probably disagree with Mike Huckabee theologically as much as anybody. That being said I recognize he is not running for a religious post but the president of the US and he has the vision and the ideas that can lead this country into the future.

What's with all this Christophobia? First off, Huckabee is not a "Baptist Minister" -- that is part of his resume. His most recent resume entry is "Governor of Arkansas -- 10.5 years".

It's almost comical how these people repeat whatever they hear Rush or Hannity saying. Take five minutes out of your busy fretting schedule and read Huckabee's position papers... If your answer is "yes, his positions are all conservative, but didn't he used to be a liberal? Rush said so, right?"

Yes, Rush said so. Suppose it were true that Huckabee was once a liberal like, say Mitt Romney. Now Mitt files his FEC papers and sits down with his handlers and says, "OK, so what do I believe?" They tell him he has to be pro-life and anti-gay. "Well, I can do that. But what about the fact that I put up $50 dollar abortions in my MANDATORY Socialist Healthcare plan? What about the gay marriage thing?"

"You've 'grown'... yeah, that's it, you've 'grown' and now you believe you were wrong and you're starting over as of today when you file your candidacy with the FEC!"

"The Gay marriage thing is a little trickier though," the handler says. "For that, all you have to do is tell 'em you were forced to do that by a liberal court... works every time."

Romney thinks on that one for a moment and says, "But didn't Huckabee raise taxes on a court order?"

"Yes," the handler replies, "but that trick doesn't work on taxes. Besides, we can buy out the Club for Growth for say, half a million and they'll put up ads making Huckabee's record look like Stalin's. I will be like a photo negative of reality."

Romney looks at his handler and laughs out loud... "Brilliant! I was just about to tell you that. This will be the best campaign since Goebels in '32!"

So the candidate who flopps around like a salmon out of water gets a pass from the NeoLib media while the guy who actually DID stick to his conservative principles gets labeled a "liberal". OK, I get it now. Only patricians who want to acquire the White House on a leveraged buyout can change their policy positions. Governors who were actually able to get re-elected by sticking to their core conservative principles and leave their states with a surplus are stuck with whatever fables El Speedball can dream up.

Very well said. I agree 100%.

As for Romney, he is a liar, plain and simple. He was against abortion before he was for it but now he says he was always against abortion but thought he would lie and pander to liberals in Mass in order to get their vote. He has no morals, no values, no convictions, and no principles. What a douche bag.

I agree completely! I'm 32 and have voted for the GOP nominee in every election since my first vote in 1994, including President, Congress and Senate. However, this year may be different. If Huckabee is not the nominee, I do not think that I can vote for any of the others. I will not sit home; I will go vote; but I won't vote for Rudy or Romney and probably not McCain. I will go vote for the Constitution or Libertarian Party Candidate in protest. I'm sick of the Jihad against Huck and the evangelicals by the blue blood establishment as well.

Don’t expect the truth form the press!

Why is the press is not attacking Huckabee on his policies and record not lining up with his faith? Could it be they have no ammunition? Better yet why is the press not pointing out the opposing candidates records not lining up with their faith. When you have the is the ideology of it don’t really matter about a candidate faith; whether they live or not. With something that important as ones faith; what would make one think; that a candidate who does live his faith would not say one thing and do another in anything? The press always ask Huckabee the faith questions. Why does the press not ask the other candidates; you say you are Christian; but how is it you do not take a stand against abortion, not oppose gay marriage, state lotteries, and many others moral issues at hand. Does the press really seek the truth? I saw a headline just this week; “Obama defends his faith”; faith in what; I ask.

Great article.
Near the end of 2006, Clear Channel Communications was purchased by Bain Capital. Bain Capital is the private equity firm founded by none other that Mitt Romney. He is no longer CEO, so he can argue he has no influence over the radio talking heads who are under contract to Clear Channel and its subsidiary, Premiere Radio Network, such as Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck. However, Romney's money is still in this firm and obviously he has huge influence as its founder and former CEO. I view all the attacks agaist Huckabee and McCain by talk radio as attempts to eliminate Romney's competition. If Thompson or Guiliani had ever theatened Romney's nomination they would be cut off at the knees too.
I know it sounds impossible and a conspiracy theory that Romney ultimately writes Limbaugh's and Hannity's paycheck, but it actually seems to be the case. Google Bain Capital. Google Clear Channel.
The connection is real and it needs to be told far and wide.

Good post. Huck is the most principled and accomplished conservative running. If Huck would have ran in 1988 he would be at the top of the ticket from the beginning and the establishment would be behind him. The problem is that the Democratic party is running hard to the left and dragging the Republican establishment with them. It is time for principled middle class conservatives to take the party back by getting the vote out for Huck on Super Tuesday. We can do it. Huck is a rising star that represents us well and he won't give up or give in.

Amen, good answer; we must pray and go to the edge of the Red Sea and wait for the waters to part.

Mike Huckabee is the only candidate that can answer yes to all these issues BELOW with his previous record and actions and his voice.
John McCain is a no on # 1, 2 and 5.
Mitt Romney is a no on # 1, 3, 4, 6, and 8.
1.Human Life Amendment
Supports a national Human Life
Amendment.
2.Traditional Marriage
Supports a Federal Marriage Amendment defining marriage
as between one man and one woman only
3..Gun Rights: Opposes an assault weapons ban
4.Business Freedom
Opposes laws forcing business to favor homosexuality
5.Limit Taxes
Signed AFTR Pledge to not raise taxes
6.Opposes Gay Pride
Refused to support Gay Pride celebrations
7.Iraq War
Opposes immediate removal of troops from Iraq
8. Moral Education
Opposes curriculum that promotes homosexuality

And we don't need to worry about the gaints. I liked a post I read just today; we need the same grace God has always given us; although we don't deserve it; because many have dropped the ball in ignoring HIS precepts. We need Huck to lead us back to where we were prior to the left dragging the nation to the left. We need to choose this day whom we are going to serve. If God for us; who can be against us.
